In New York, speaking at the United Nations General Assembly, India's External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar says, "Many countries get left behind due to circumstances beyond their control but some make conscious choices with disastrous consequences. A premier example is our neighbour Pakistan. Unfortunately, their misdeeds affect others as well, especially the neighbourhood. When this polity instils such fanaticism among its people. Its GDP can only be measured in terms of radicalisation and its exports in the form of terrorism. Today, we see the ills it sought to visit on others consume its own society. It can't blame the world. This is only karma. A dysfunctional nation coveting the lands of others must be exposed and must be countered."

Dr. S. Jaishankar delivered a sharp message, warning that Pakistan’s policy of cross-border terrorism will not succeed and will have severe consequences. He emphasized that Pakistan's continued support for terrorism will be met with accountability, dismissing any notion that such actions will go unpunished. Jaishankar reiterated India's clear stance that the primary issue between the two countries is Pakistan’s illegal occupation of Indian territory, and urged Pakistan to abandon its longstanding ties to terrorism.

He further condemned Pakistan's remarks at the UNGA, describing them as bizarre and reiterated that impunity is not an option. He highlighted the need for Pakistan to take responsibility for its actions and cease its terrorist activities. Stressing the broader global implications of unresolved conflicts, Jaishankar also touched upon other global crises, such as the war in Ukraine and the conflict in Gaza, calling for urgent solutions to prevent widespread violence.

Jaishankar concluded his remarks by addressing Pakistan’s economic downfall, attributing it to the country’s conscious choices. He mocked Pakistan's obsession with terrorism, stating that its Gross Domestic Product (GDP) can now only be measured in terms of radicalization and its main export as terrorism.

The speech made clear that India would not tolerate any further provocations from Pakistan, and the consequences of their actions would be inevitable.
