Prime Minister to consider ‘resignation’ , after investigation launched against wife

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez has vehemently denied corruption allegations against his wife but said he will consider resigning after a judicial investigation was launched into accusations that she used her position to influence business deals.

It is learnt that Spanish premiere Pedro Sánchez has halted official duties to consider resigning after his wife is investigated for corruption. The allegations are based on premiere’s wife’s links to to companies that have received both government support and public support.  

Sources claimed that a Spanish judge has opened an inquiry into past business dealings between Begona Gomez, the wife of Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, and the owners of a Madrid-based airline and tourism group.

Pedro Sánchez is considered a Socialist leader in Spain.
