Porn clip airs on LED advertisement board, at prominent Delhi location, police initiates probe after FIR
A startling incident occurred in Connaught Place, Delhi, when a pornographic video appeared on an LED advertisement board in H Block. The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), which manages the area, suspects that the board may have been compromised through sophisticated hacking techniques.
The video was noticed by passers-by on Thursday night and was promptly removed with assistance from NDMC officials. According to NDMC, the area is equipped with two types of digital panels: one for advertisements and another for interactive touchscreens. Both are designed to meet international standards and are protected by a secure server with a firewall and antivirus measures.
NDMC has labeled the incident as "unprecedented" and is investigating how the security measures were breached. Despite having 50 advertisement boards across its jurisdiction, only one was affected. The civic body believes advanced hacking methods might have been employed to manipulate the specific LED screen.
Delhi Police have filed a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS) and are actively pursuing leads to identify those responsible for the breach.
Connaught Place remains one of Delhi’s most frequented commercial hubs, and this is not the first time such an incident has occurred.
