With voting on Nov 17 for 70 assembly seats in Chhattisgarh, the two main contesting political parties are fielding their star campaigners to woo the voters to their side.
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the Congress General Secretary and party’s star campaigner, is to hold a roadshow in Raipur to mobilize support for the party. She is expected to reach Raipur by 4.45 in the evening of Tuesday and then would garland the statue of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi at Rajiv Chowk
She is then scheduled to embark on a roadshow through Kotwali Chowk, Satti Bajaar, Brahmanpara, Sheetla Mata chowk, RD Tiwari school, Amapara chowk to Agrsen chowk to culminate in Telghani chowk.
With women voters crucial to party’s good performance electorally, Priyanka Gandhi would push the Congress’s recent announcement for this segment of the society including Rs 15000 annually for married women with Rs 500 as subsidy for purchase of cooking gas cylinder.
