Poll bound Chhattisgarh, ‘…not going to save own seat..’ CM Bhupesh Baghel predicts about former Chief Minister as voting is underway

Amid claims and counter-claims between the BJP and Congress as the voting progresses on 20 assembly segments, Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel has shared his assessment that former CM Dr Raman Singh might not save his own seat this time around.

It need be mentioned that voting is underway in Rajnandgaon assembly seat, where BJP has fielded former CM Dr Raman Singh. Speaking to the media, Dr Singh assessed that BJP could win as many as 14 seats in the first phase voting itself.

Reacting to this, Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel told media persons, “He (Raman Singh) is not going to save his own seat. We had won 17 seats out of 20 last time, this time we will win 18 or 19 seats”.

Congress has fielded Girish Dewangan, a close confidante of CM Bhupesh Baghel against Dr Raman Singh.
