Even as Chhattisgarh elections are largely seen as direct contest between Congress and BJP, the choice of constituencies and candidates by AAP shows that it is indeed playing strategically.
On Sunday evening, AAP released yet another of its list of candidates where Vijay Gurubaxani has been fielded from Raipur North assembly segment. He comes up against Kuldip Juneja of Congress and Purandar Mishra of BJP.
Whats interesting is that AAP has thus far fielded 45 candidates against a 90 member strong Chhattisgarh assembly. While Arvind Kejriwal led party is heavily banking on the guarantees that it has promised, many political analysts are keenly watching as to whose vote share is eaten up by AAP in the upcoming contest.
Chhattisgarh goes to vote in two phases, on Nov 7 and 17. The results are to be out on Dec 3 for all five poll bound states.
