Political leaders condemn Gagangir terror attack, Lt Governor visits injured

Farooq Abdullah, President of the National Conference, speaks about the Gagangir terror attack, condemning the violence that led to the loss of innocent lives, and emphasizing the need to end terrorism for peace in the region.

Gagangir terror attack

After the Gagangir terror attack, National Conference President Farooq Abdullah said, "This attack was very unfortunate... Immigrant poor labourers and a doctor lost their lives. What will the terrorists get from this? Do they think they will be able to create a Pakistan here... We are trying to put this to an end so we can move on from the misery... I want to tell the leadership in Pakistan that if they want good relations with India, they need to put an end to this. 'Kashmir Pakistan nahi Banega.' Let us live with dignity and succeed... If they couldn't create a Pakistan for 75 years, how would it be possible now?... It is time to end terrorism, otherwise the results will be very severe... How will talks be held if they kill our innocent people?..."

PDP leader and spokesperson Mohit Bhan says, "It was a heart-rending incident...We condemn this in the strongest of words. There is no place for violence in any society...Killing seven people, who had come here away from their homes, cannot resolve any issue...Be it our party chief or leaders, everyone has condemned this..."

Meanwhile, Manoj Sinha, the Lt. Governor of J&K, visited the Hospital in Srinagar to inquire about the health of construction workers, who were injured in Gagangir terror attack. I pray for their speedy recovery. Directed the officials to provide all the support to the affected families.
