Police raids Varanasi hotel, uncovers sex racket, finds couples in objectionable condition

A joint team of Chetganj and Sigra police unearthed a sex racket operating in a hotel in the Maldahiya area under Sigra police station, arresting 21 individuals, including 10 women and a hotel staff member, on Sunday afternoon.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Kashi zone, Neetu Kadian, stated that after receiving a tip-off about the sex racket, a coordinated police team, including women officers from Chetganj and Sigra police stations, raided Hotel Ranjit in Maldahiya. During the raid, 10 men, 10 women, and one hotel staff member were arrested.

Kadian’s team acted swiftly, preventing the hotel staff from alerting those inside the rooms. The staff initially locked all the rooms, but after reviewing video footage, police instructed them to unlock the doors. The police also seized the CCTV network’s DVR. Further investigation is ongoing to identify other members involved in the racket, according to the ADCP

"I received information from an informant that young boys and girls might be involved in an sex racket at Ranjit Hotel. We went to the location and found at least 10 girls and the same number of boys in an objectionable state in a room. Further investigation is ongoing." says Neetu Kumari, ADCP - Varanasi Police Commissionerate.
