PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, now into his third as nation's top executive, is media and tech savvy. It is quite evident from the way he chooses to present himself but also how he projects himself as someone who knows his way and is in command.

A video is viral on the internet where PM Modi's participation in the India's Independence Day celebration (Delhi event) has been compiled. This year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi donned a vibrant Rajasthani leheriya print turban for the 78th Independence Day celebrations at the Red Fort. This colorful headgear, featuring shades of orange, yellow, and green with an elongated tail, was complemented by a white kurta, churidar, and a light blue bandhgala jacket. Since 2014, PM Modi has made it a tradition to wear distinctive and vibrant turbans each Independence Day, reflecting India’s diverse cultural heritage.

The leheriya print, a traditional tie-dye technique from Rajasthan, is inspired by the wave patterns formed by the desert winds. This year’s choice of turban continues PM Modi's tradition of celebrating India's rich regional cultures through his attire.

In 2014, during his first Independence Day as Prime Minister, Modi wore a traditional Rajasthani turban that featured a lively mix of orange, yellow, and green. This turban combined traditional elements with a modern touch, highlighting both the festive spirit and the rich cultural heritage of Rajasthan.
