Planning attacks on security forces, NIA chargesheets two senior naxalites
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has announced the arrest of two Maoists from Kanker district. The NIA shared this information on their X (formerly Twitter) handle, stating that the arrests were of two members of the Kuemari Area Committee. The arrested Maoists have been identified as Ashu Korsa and Vinod Avalam.
According to the NIA, both Maoist leaders were members of the security and supply team and were planning an attack on security forces. They were carrying weapons and explosives at the time of their arrest, which took place in the Munjalgondi area. The NIA team conducted a raid in June, resulting in their capture. Following their arrest, the NIA has filed a chargesheet in the special court in Jagdalpur.
