Brazilian football legend Zico reported a theft to French police on Friday after his bag, containing cash, watches, and diamond jewelry, was stolen. The 71-year-old former Flamengo forward, who has participated in three World Cups, was in transit when the theft occurred and had left his car window open. While Le Parisien reported the stolen items' value as 500,000 euros ($542,000), a source close to the matter suggested this amount may be exaggerated. Zico is in Paris as a guest of the Brazilian Olympic team for the upcoming 2024 Games.

Meanwhile, the Olympic flame arrived in Paris on Friday, carried by a diesel-powered tug and a torchbearer dressed in white. The relay, which started in Marseille on May 8, had its 68th stage entitled "Epilogue." The torch had previously passed through Paris on July 14 and 15 and began its final journey from Saint-Denis on Friday.
