In a major development, the Delhi police has lodged an FIR against Pakistani national Minhaj Hussain, who worked as the cook at the official residence of Saad Ahmad Warraich, the Charge D'Affaires at the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi.

It is learnt that Minhaj Hussain allegedly tried to molest an Indian woman engaged as a domestic help at the diplomat's residence. The 54-year-old Pakistani national Minhaj Hussain allegedly made obscene advances to the Indian woman hired as domestic help.

The woman at the time was living in the servant quarters of the diplomat’s official residence at Tilak Marg in New Delhi.

Hussain, as per complaint, allegedly began misbehaving with the complainant since his arrival in India in February.

It is also alleged that as the woman complained to Warraich, he rushed Hussain to Pakistan to prevent any scandal. The Pakistan High Commission subsequently asked the woman to quit the job.

The woman then decided to file a police complaint with the Tilak Marg Police Station on June 28. Delhi Police immediately registered an FIR under Section 354 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against Minhaj Ahmed Hussain on the basis of the complaint.
