Oil tanker's tire burst, it overturned on busy Durg Raipur stretch, police rushes to avert traffic disruption

Late on Thursday night, an oil tanker experienced a tire burst on the road from Durg to Raipur, causing the tanker to overturn. Following the accident, the driver fled the scene. This incident occurred near Charoda Railway Nagar and resulted in a long line of vehicles stranded on the road.
Upon receiving information about the accident, the Bhilai 3 police quickly arrived at the location. Oil began to spill onto the road, prompting the police to redirect vehicles to Raipur via the service lane. Four-wheeled and larger vehicles were managed accordingly. Reports indicate that motorists faced a traffic jam lasting about 1-2 hours due to the incident, with vehicles traveling between Durg and Raipur caught in the congestion. After considerable effort, the police were able to clear the route.
