A parachute, carrying an object, landed in southern Yamuna canal near Hamida Head in Yamuna Nagar earlier on Monday evening.
Speaking to the media, DSP Abhilaksh Joshi said that in the preliminary probe itself, police has concluded that it reached here during a mock drill by a department; the concerned department established contact and they will take further course of action.
It was the local villagers who informed police that an object, tied to a parachute, fell into a water body here. “
