No diplomatic price to pay despite allegations, Justin Trudeau responds

As PM Modi took centerstage at the G7 outreach session and was welcomed by leaders of almost all of the countries, a journalist asked Prime Minister Justin Trudeau about there being no diplomatic price despite the allegations levelled by Canada and United States.

Canadian leader Justin Trudeau replied to this saying that there is clear understanding about the need to engage with partners even amid standing up for the rule for law.

“Won’t get into details. Important & sensitive issues we need to follow up. Commitment to work together”, says Canada PM Justin Trudeau on meeting with PM Modi at G7 summit.

It need be mentioned Canada believes and has said so agents of government of India might be behind the killing of Nijjar, a Khalistani living in Canada. Then there is also court proceedings ongoing in America where it has been said that attempt on life was on U.S. soil. India responded to the U.S. allegation saying that it is probing the issue.

But now that Prime Minister Modi is back for a third term and Ukraine is in dire situation on the battlefield with an added woe of Chinese economic coercion, United States and Europe need to find allies for economic and defence relationship.

There has been consistent criticism in Western media that India has  not condemned Russia for its actions in Ukraine and that it is continuing to buy huge quantities of Russian crude.
