No damage to Iran’s nuclear sites, says IAEA, amid Israeli retaliation

IAEA can confirm that there is no damage to Iran’s nuclear sites. Director General Rafael MarianoGrossi continues to call for extreme restraint from everybody and reiterates that nuclear facilities should never be a target in military conflicts. IAEA is monitoring the situation very closely, it was said.

Israel carried out retaliatory strikes on Iran but explosions were reportedly heard in the cities of Tehran, Isfahan, and Shiraz according to media reports. Explosions were also reported in Syria an Iraq, media reported. Iran too has confirmed that there has been no airstrike in Isfahan or other parts of the country.

Iranian nuclear programme is of concern to Israel and the wider West even though the country.
