New Year Gift: Yogi Government Promotes 52 IPS Officers in Uttar Pradesh


In a significant announcement to mark the New Year, the Uttar Pradesh government has promoted 52 IPS officers, including some high-ranking officials.
Among the notable promotions is Deepesh Juneja, a 1992-batch officer who has been elevated to the rank of Director General (DG).
Key Promotions
Deepesh Juneja: Promoted to DG following the retirement of DG CBCID SN Sabat on December 31. Previously serving as ADG Prosecution, Juneja now assumes a higher role in the state police hierarchy.
2000 Batch Promotions:
Laxmi Singh (Commissioner, Noida), Prashant Kumar II, and Neelabja Choudhary have been promoted to the rank of Additional Director General (ADG).
2007 Batch Promotions: Nine officers have been promoted from DIG (Deputy Inspector General) to IG (Inspector General), including: Amit Pathak Joginder Kumar Ravi Shankar Chhavi Vinod Kumar Singh Bharti Singh Vipin Kumar Mishra Rakesh Prakash Singh Yogesh Singh Geeta Singh
2011 Batch Promotions: A total of 25 officers have been elevated from SSP (Senior Superintendent of Police) to DIG, including:

The promotions were approved in a meeting of the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC), chaired by Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh, along with DGP Prashant Kumar, ACS Home Deepak Kumar, and Principal Secretary (Appointments) M. Devaraj.
