The Uttar Pradesh government plans a mini stadium, gym for Mohammed Shami’s village after World Cup heroics. It is the district of Amroha that has decided to move forward a proposal for the construction of mini stadium in the ancestral village of Shami.
Shami has garnered worldwide praise for becoming leading wicket taker for India by bagging as many as 23 wickets in the ongoing World Cup.
Following Team India pacer Mohammed Shami’s performance in the Nov 12 semi-final match of the ICC World Cup, DM Amroha Rajesh Tyagi says, “A proposal has been made to construct a mini-stadium and open gym in the village (Sahaspur Alinagar) of Mohammed Shami”.
