Minister Ramvichar Netam Discharged from Hospital, Says "Your Prayers Kept Me Safe"
Raipur: Agriculture Minister Ramvichar Netam has been discharged from Ramakrishna Hospital following an accident on Friday. Expressing gratitude, he stated, "With God’s grace and your prayers, I am completely safe and out of danger."
The minister's car was hit by a pickup vehicle while returning to Raipur from Bemetara. The collision left his car severely damaged, causing a fractured wrist and injuries to his head. The incident occurred near Jevra village on the highway shortly after his convoy departed from the Bemetara rest house.
Following the accident, Netam was immediately transported to a private hospital in Raipur. Doctors conducted a CT scan, which showed normal results, and treated his fractured wrist. Speaking after his discharge, the minister reassured well-wishers, saying:
"Dear friends and supporters, I am safe and recovering well, thanks to your prayers and blessings. I am truly grateful." The accident occurred while Netam’s convoy was traveling back from Kawardha district, where he had been on an official visit.At the time of the collision, the minister’s vehicle was struck by a pickup truck, causing significant damage and injuring the minister and another individual in the car.
The accident created a buzz within the state administration: Bemetara Collector and SP reached the scene promptly. As news of the accident spread, senior officials, including Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, ministers, and senior BJP leaders, rushed to the hospital to check on Netam's condition. The Chief Minister, after meeting the minister, assured the public: "There is no cause for concern. Minister Netam is stable and recovering well."
BJP state spokesperson Ajay Chandrakar, who visited Netam, added:"I had a brief interaction with the minister. He is in good spirits and recovering steadily."
The incident has raised concerns about road safety during official travel, but Minister Netam’s swift recovery has brought relief to his supporters and colleagues alike.
