Man attempts to force himself on sleeping woman, heres what happened next
In the Kapu police station area, a case of harassment has emerged. On August 24, a local woman reported to the police that on the night of August 22, 2024, while she was sleeping with her mother in their room, 19-year-old Suraj Rathia from the village of Inchpara broke into their house. Around 12:30 AM, Rathia attempted to force himself on her, trying to undress her and using physical force while covering her mouth. The woman bravely pushed Rathia away, causing him to flee the scene.
The woman's mother, who was also asleep, woke up and both were able to clearly identify Rathia. The room was lit, which helped in recognizing the accused. Following the woman's complaint, the police acted swiftly, registering a case under FIR No. 103/2024, Sections 76 and 331(2) BNS against Rathia. He was taken into custody and interrogated, during which he confessed to the crime. Rathia was formally arrested last night, and his family has been informed of his arrest. He has been sent to judicial custody.
