A bizarre case of crime has been reported from Haryana's Rohtak district. A woman Rekha was busy with her daily chores on July 30, as usual. Around 1 PM, while she was cleaning the animal pen in her courtyard, her husband Ajay asked her to turn on the hotspot on her mobile phone so he could use the internet on his device.

Rekha, citing her busy schedule, refused. This small disagreement escalated into a heated argument. Ajay, angered by her refusal to turn on the hotspot, grabbed a sharp weapon from inside the house and attacked Rekha, killing her on the spot.

After committing the crime, Ajay fled the scene. When the neighbors discovered what had happened, they informed the police. Officers from the Akbarpur police station arrived at the scene and were shocked by the brutality of the crime. Rekha's body lay in the courtyard. The police called in the FSL team to collect evidence from the scene and sent the body for post-mortem to Rohtak PGI.

Rekha was originally from Kasrenti village in Rohtak. In a complaint to the police, her brother Rajesh recounted that Rekha had married Ajay from Medina village ten years ago. The couple had two children. Rajesh described Ajay as having a volatile nature, often quarreling and spending the entire day on his mobile phone. He would get very angry if anyone tried to interrupt him. Rajesh and his family never imagined that Ajay could commit such a heinous act.
