Major fire broke out in Times Tower, nine fire tenders rushed to spot
A large fire broke out in the Times Tower building in Lower Parel West, Mumbai, on Friday. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) confirmed that at least nine fire tenders were immediately sent to the site, and firefighting efforts are ongoing. Officials have stated that no injuries or casualties have been reported so far, and emergency teams are actively working to contain the fire and ensure the safety of the building's occupants. The fire has been classified as a level 2 (major) incident.
BMC's Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB), along with the police, ambulance services, BEST supply ward staff, have all been deployed to assist in the operations.
This incident brings to mind a similar fire that broke out in the Kamala Mills compound on December 29, 2017, which tragically resulted in 14 deaths and multiple injuries. Several national news channels, including Times Now and ET Now, were also impacted during that fire.
