Major Accident in Balodabazar: Minister’s Convoy Hit by Speeding Bus
Balodabazar: In a serious road accident on Sunday, a speeding bus collided with a vehicle in the convoy of Chhattisgarh’s Food Minister, Dayal Das Baghel, during his tour. The incident occurred near Family Dhaba in the Simga police jurisdiction, causing significant damage to the convoy vehicle.
Accident Details: The minister was traveling from Bemetara to Raipur when a high-speed bus, identified as Rambo Bus CG04 MZ 8792, attempted to overtake and collided with the minister's follow-up vehicle, CG04 NL 5643. Following the collision, highway patrol units, along with SDOP Aishwarya Chandrakar and Simga Station In-Charge Yogita Khaparde, promptly arrived on the scene to begin rescue operations.
Additional Police Superintendent Aishwarya Chandrakar confirmed that the accident occurred around 10 to 10:30 PM. Thankfully, there were no injuries reported among the minister or his entourage. Preliminary findings indicate that the speeding bus lost control, leading to the crash. The driver has been detained for questioning.
While the minister's vehicle sustained damage to the headlight and front section, no fatalities or severe injuries were reported. A formal FIR will be registered once the minister is available. Authorities are gathering further details as part of their ongoing investigation.
