Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde visited at Viviana Mall to watch the Marathi Film 'Dharmaveer 2' along with the actors of the film. The film 'Dharamveer 2' is based on the life of CM Eknath Shinde's guru and late Shiv Sena leader Dharamveer Anand Dighe. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde is poised to strengthen his pro-Hindutva stance with the upcoming Marathi film "Dharmaveer 2," which is a sequel to the biopic about his mentor, the late Shiv Sena leader Anand Dighe. The premiere is scheduled for Thursday at a multiplex in south Mumbai, with Deputy Chief Ministers Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde visited at Viviana Mall to watch the Marathi Film 'Dharmaveer 2' along with the actors of the film. The film 'Dharamveer 2' is based on the life of CM Eknath Shinde's guru and late Shiv Sena leader Dharamveer Anand Dighe.

Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar likely to attend. Shinde has defended his political actions by asserting that they are aimed at upholding Hindutva, claiming that the party founded by Bal Thackeray has strayed from its core ideology due to its alliances with Congress and the NCP. "Dharmaveer 2" is expected to reinforce this narrative, illustrating Shinde's preference for Dighe's interpretation of Hindutva over Uddhav Thackeray's secular approach, which he argues led to his rebellion against Thackeray. Producer Mangesh Desai noted that the sequel will include significant events from Dighe's life that were not covered in the first film, including his involvement in the Babri Masjid demolition and his activism for the Malang Gad shrine in Kalyan. The film will also highlight Shinde's tenure as chief minister. Its release timing, just ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, appears strategically planned to underscore Shinde's dedication to Dighe’s legacy of public service and Hindutva. At the film launch, Shinde remarked on how some individuals have compromised Balasaheb Thackeray's vision of Hindutva for political gain through alliances with Congress and NCP. Director Praveen Tarde emphasized that the film will focus on a genuine representation of Hindutva as practiced by Balasaheb and Dighe. The sequel aims to resonate with audiences familiar with Dighe's impactful contributions, while also addressing current political dynamics within Maharashtra.
