Mahadev betting app, war of words on, Mumbai police names 32 in FIR, including against a prominent actor

More developments in the case of Mahadev betting app, which has become a major political issue in poll bound Chhattisgarh as the Mumbai police has registered a case against 32 people including the promoter of the app under various sections of fraud and gambling.

Police have included names of actor Sahil Khan and Dabur company’s Gaurav Burman and Mohit Burman and others in the FIR registered under sections 420,465,467,468,471,120 (B) of IPC.

It need be recalled that in his passionate address at an election rally in Chhattisgarh’s Mungeli, PM Modi directed criticism at CM Bhupesh Baghel regarding the alleged Mahadev betting app scam. The ED has linked the Congress leader to the ongoing investigation.

While the BJP has been attacking ruling Congress on the issue of corruption, particularly the Mahadev betting app scam, the Chhattisgarh CM has been countering the campaign.

Today itself, speaking on the issue, Union Minister and BJP leader Anurag Thakur pointed out, “…After the Mahadev app scam, Chhattisgarh CM is hiding his face… If the people involved in Delhi’s liquor policy scam were not able to escape, here too, no one would be able to escape… If you want to take guarantees, take those of  (given by) PM Modi… What the Bhupesh Baghel government was not able to give in five years, we will give within five weeks. This is PM Modi’s guarantee….”.
