In a significant step to support unorganized sector workers, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced the transfer of ₹225 crore to the bank accounts of 10,236 families under the Sambal Scheme. The funds were disbursed during a program in Bhopal on December 4, with a single click at 12:30 PM.

What is the Sambal Scheme?

The Sambal Scheme provides comprehensive financial assistance to workers in the unorganized sector, covering them from birth to death.

Key benefits include:

Death Assistance: ₹4 lakh for accidental death and ₹2 lakh for natural death.

Disability Compensation: ₹2 lakh for permanent disability and ₹1 lakh for partial permanent disability.

Funeral Assistance: ₹5,000 for last rites.

Maternity Aid: ₹16,000 for female workers during childbirth.

Education Support: Free education for workers' children under the scheme.

Today's Milestone

The assistance amount of ₹225 crore was transferred to 10,236 families affected by accidents, deaths, or disabilities in their families. The program was attended by Prahlad Singh Patel, Minister of Labor, Panchayat, and Rural Development.

The scheme has registered 1.73 crore workers under Sambal 2.0, offering vital benefits: Healthcare Coverage: Workers and their families are eligible for Ayushman Bharat, providing free medical treatment up to ₹5 lakh annually.
