Police Use Lathi Charge to Disperse Protesters Demanding Return to Previous Civil Services Exam Pattern

Patna, Bihar: Tensions flared outside the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) office on Wednesday as a group of protestors gathered demanding the return of the 70th Civil Services Preliminary Exam format.

The protestors, who are against the recent changes in the exam pattern, clashed with the police, leading to a lathi charge. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Saket Kumar spoke about the incident, stating, "No one will be allowed to disturb the law and order in the city.

The protestors were attempting to block the road, and a mild lathi charge was used to disperse them. However, we have not detained anyone." The protestors, who have been voicing their opposition to the new exam normalisation, claim that the changes in the pattern have made the exam more difficult for many aspirants.

The protesters gathered in large numbers, blocking roads and causing disruptions near the BPSC office, prompting the police to intervene. Despite the police action, no arrests have been made so far, and the situation has remained under control. Authorities have assured that they are monitoring the situation closely.
