Kinnar Kajal Murder Case: SP Felicitates 13 Police Officers for Swift Investigation

In a remarkable display of efficiency, 13 police personnel involved in solving the Kinnar Kajal murder case were honored by Superintendent of Police (SP) Vijay Agrawal on Saturday. The officers successfully cracked the case within just 48 hours and apprehended the accused.

The Case

On November 18, the body of Kinnar Kajal was found in an abandoned stone quarry near Dhabadih village, under the jurisdiction of City Kotwali Police Station, Baloda Bazar. The investigation revealed that Kajal was brutally murdered with sharp weapons, with fatal injuries inflicted on the neck and other parts of the body. During the examination, a sum of ₹1,50,000 in cash was recovered from the scene, stacked in three bundles of ₹500 notes.

Investigation and Breakthrough

The investigation team quickly uncovered the motive behind the crime: a rivalry over leadership in the Kinnar community. The murder was orchestrated by one of Kajal's rivals, who hired contract killers to eliminate her. Within 48 hours, the police arrested five individuals connected to the crime, showcasing exemplary coordination and investigative skills.

Acknowledging their outstanding efforts, SP Vijay Agrawal presented certificates of appreciation to the following 13 officers who played pivotal roles in solving the case:
