Khagaria: Chaos Erupts as Bus Overturns in Waterlogged Pit, Watch Here
In Chhatar village, Khagaria, a state of panic ensued when a bus filled with passengers overturned in a waterlogged pit by the roadside. The bus was en route from Khagaria to Alouli. Once locals learned of the uncontrolled bus toppling into the pit, they, along with the police, rushed to rescue six passengers trapped inside.
The bus, traveling from Khagaria to Alouli, suddenly lost control and overturned into the water-filled ditch. Fortunately, due to the shallow water, the six passengers were safely extracted with the help of local residents and law enforcement. As news of the incident spread, a large crowd gathered at the scene.
Upon receiving the distress call, the police from Alouli station promptly arrived and jumped into the water to assist in the rescue efforts. They conducted a thorough search of the bus to ensure that no one else was trapped inside. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The driver and the conductor of the bus have since fled the scene. However, the police's swift response and efficiency have been praised by the community. Unlike previous incidents where the police were criticized for delayed responses, here, they acted quickly to fulfill their duty.
Upon arrival, police officers removed their uniforms and jumped into the water to save the passengers. Efforts are now being made to pull the bus out of the water.
In a major update from Khagaria, a speeding bus fell into a water-filled ditch, causing a commotion at the scene. A police officer present managed to rescue the drowning passengers. Among the injured are an Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) and two others. This incident occurred near the Santosh Bridge in the Alouli police station area.
Reports indicate that at the time of the accident, only three individuals, including the driver, were on board. The bus was reserved for travel from Khagaria to Shahrbanni in Alouli when it encountered the mishap. Following the incident, Alouli police station chief Samlesh Kumar arrived at the scene with a team and personally took charge of the rescue, extracting the driver and assistant conductor from the water.
Besides the ANM and the bus crew, no other passengers were aboard. All injured individuals have been admitted to the Sadar Hospital for treatment. Fortunately, the bus was not carrying a larger number of passengers, which could have led to a more significant disaster.
