Bollywood actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut recently commented on the reimplementation of the repealed farm laws, leading to criticism, even from her own party. The BJP distanced itself from Kangana's statement, prompting her to clarify her stance. She stated that the remarks were her personal opinion and did not represent the party's views. In a video message, Kangana apologized and retracted her statement, saying that she supports the party's position on farmers' issues.

BJP leader Gaurav Bhatia responded to Kangana's social media post, emphasizing that her comments on the farm laws were personal and not authorized by the party. He reiterated that the BJP does not support her views. In response, Kangana clarified her stance, acknowledging that her opinions were personal and not aligned with the party's position on the matter. She thanked Bhatia for the clarification.

Earlier, Kangana had sparked controversy by suggesting that the repealed farm laws should be reinstated and that farmers themselves should demand their return for their own benefit, as they are the pillars of the nation's progress. She also faced criticism from BJP last month for remarks she made about the farmers' protests, where she claimed that without strict government measures, the protests could have led to a situation similar to that of Bangladesh.

Opposition parties have seized on Kangana's statements, with Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate condemning her comments, noting that over 750 farmers lost their lives during the protests, and it was only after this that the Modi government repealed the laws. Shrinate added that the Congress remains steadfast in its support for farmers, while BJP MPs seem to be planning to reintroduce the laws.
