A video went viral online where a junior doctor is seen slapping a patient. It emerged that the video is from Indore based Maharaja Yeshwantrao Hospital.
After the video went viral, Dr.Anand Ajmera, who is HOD of the Ortho Department in Maharaja Yeshwantrao Hospital, told media, “It came to my knowledge that a patient was referred to Maharaja Yeshwantrao Hospital from Ujjain… His leg was fractured. He had a history of some infectious disease. Probably for this reason he was referred from Ujjain to Indore. The patient and his family did not inform the hospital about this. Junior doctors treated the patient… During this time, the patient’s family members also kept arguing with the doctors… After completing his first aid, the patient told the doctors that he was suffering from some infectious disease. There is a risk of such disease spreading to other patients and paramedical staff nearby.
