India Clinches Fifth Junior Asia Cup Hockey Title with a Thrilling 5-3 Victory Over Pakistan
In a high-stakes finale of the Men's Junior Asia Cup 2024, India defeated arch-rivals Pakistan 5-3 to claim their record-extending fifth title and complete a hat-trick of consecutive championships. The gripping match, held in Muscat, Oman, showcased a dramatic battle between the two hockey powerhouses.

The star of the match was Araijeet Singh Hundal, who scored an impressive four goals, including three from penalty corners and one from open play. His relentless performance was instrumental in India’s triumph, while Dilraj Singh contributed the fifth goal.

The game started with Pakistan taking an early lead. Hannan Shahid scored a field goal in the 3rd minute, and Sufyan Khan added two more from penalty corners, pushing Pakistan ahead 3-1.

Earlier in the day, Japan defeated Malaysia 2-1 to secure the third position in the tournament.
