India bound oil tanker hit, Yemeni Houthis launched missiles

An oil tanker in the Red Sea en route from Russia to India was hit by missiles launched by Yemeni Houthis, the Iran-aligned militant group confirmed. The Andromeda Star oil tanker‘s master reported minor damages to the ship as it headed for Indian coast.

Andromeda Star, a Panama-flagged and recently bought by a Seychelles-registered company, suffered minor damage from 3 anti-ship ballistic missiles that were launched into the Red Sea from Yemen. Houthi rebels claimed responsibility for the attack on the ship that had left Primorsk in North West Russia and was due in Vadinar in Gujarat.

The Houthis have been targeting the commercial ships in Red Sea wanting war on Gaza to be halted.
