IED blast in Bijapur, leaves five paramilitary personnel injured, know more

Five CRPF soldiers were injured in an IED blast in Bijapur district while conducting a search operation against Naxalites. The incident underscores the persistent threat posed by Naxal activities in the region despite ongoing government and security force efforts.

Jagdalpur: The ongoing actions by the government and security forces have forced Naxalites onto the back foot. However, they are still attempting to cause harm to security personnel through sporadic incidents. In a significant development from Bijapur district, five soldiers were injured in an IED blast. All injured personnel have been taken to Bijapur Hospital for treatment.


The incident occurred in the Gundam area of Bijapur district. Following intelligence reports about Naxal presence, CRPF personnel were conducting a search operation in the area when the explosion happened. The five injured soldiers were promptly transported to the district hospital, where their condition is reported to be stable.


This incident highlights the ongoing challenges faced by security forces in combating Naxal activities in the region.
