"..huge anger among Muslims..", says Congress leader ahead of Maharashtra election
Ahead of Maharashtra Assembly Election, speaking to media in Nagpur, Congress leader Anees Ahmed pointed out that there huge anger among Muslims as there is not even one Congress member in the Upper House, there is not even one MLC...
"...The seat of Wajahat Mirza who was a Muslim representative was also cut. Today for the first time in the Upper House, history has been made that not even one minority representative is there...Muslims are not being given representation from anywhere. In the last Lok Sabha elections in Vidarbha and in all the elections that were held before that, more than ninety-nine per cent of Muslims voted for the Congress and even after that, the Congress has not given the justice that should be given. The Congress has not given the rights that Muslims deserve and there is anger among the Muslims that even though we did everything, they left our representation...This is a big question for Congress why are they not giving us representation, and therefore we all together have demanded that we want representation, we want our rights and we are demanding this with full force, otherwise, we will fight with full force, staying within the Congress, we will fight with the Congress leaders, and will demand our rights...", he added.
