The fashion show titled "Elegant Attire," held at the Skyline in Indore, has come under scrutiny. Vijay Kalkhor, the district co-minister of the Bajrang Dal, received information that the event was exhibiting obscenity and that some Muslim youths were participating under Hindu names. Upon learning this, Bajrang Dal activists rushed to the venue and halted the show. Subsequently, the Tejaji Nagar police arrived and filed a case against the organizers, Deepika Sharma and Samta Jain, under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code. Additionally, action was taken against Sahil Khan, a resident of Khargone, under Section 151.

Praveen Darekar, the divisional coordinator of Bajrang Dal Indore, stated that after the arrival of the Bajrang Dal workers on Saturday night, Sub-Inspector Manoj Kumar Dubey also reached the site. Darekar and Ram Dangi mentioned that permission had been sought for an event promoting Indian culture and empowering women, but obscenity was being displayed instead. Bajrang Dal activists identified several youths, one of whom claimed his name was Aman, but upon checking his ID, it was found to be Sahil Khan.

The Bajrang Dal accused the organizers of trying to lure Hindu women into love jihad under the guise of this event. They also protested at the Tejaji Nagar police station, chanting slogans and demanding strict action while reciting the Hanuman Chalisa. Observing the situation deteriorating, the organizers became furious. Sahil, who had participated under a Hindu name, was slapped and accused of attending without permission and deliberately trying to disrupt the fashion show.

Organizers Deepika Sharma and Samta Jain released a video apologizing, but the police had already registered a case. Staff from the event management and hotel management claimed that some individuals had posed as members of a Hindu organization and demanded money from them. In response, the Bajrang Dal requested the CCTV footage of those who solicited money to be retrieved and submitted to the police.
