Govt upgrades security of Bollywood actor, after multiple death threats

In a significant step, the Maharashtra government has increased the security of Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan to Y+ category.

It is learnt that the decision was taken after the actor allegedly received death threats.

Shahrukh Khan had given a written complaint to the state government that he had been receiving death threat calls after the release of films ‘Pathan’ and ‘Jawan’. The two films have gone on to be blockbusters.
