Govt employees must apply online, for leave, in Bihar

In Bihar, a new system for state government employees is about to be implemented. Under this system, all procedures will be online. Employees will need to apply online for everything from leave to absenteeism. This system will be enforced for state government employees starting August 16.

In this regard, Dr. B. Rajendra, Principal Secretary of the General Administration, has issued orders to all district magistrates, police headquarters, and heads of all departments. The order states that employees must apply online for absenteeism, leave, or any other matter.

All relevant data for employees must be entered into the HRMS portal by the respective departments. From August 16, 2024, state employees must submit their leave applications online, and the competent authority will grant approval. Starting September 1, 2024, only the approved leave data from the HRMS portal will be used by the establishment to provide absence details to the withdrawal and expenditure officer.
