Raipur: The Chhattisgarh government has intensified its focus on enforcing traffic rules, with Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain issuing a strict directive to all departmental heads, IGs, commissioners, collectors, and SPs.
The notice mandates that all government officials and employees must wear seat belts and helmets while driving vehicles.
The move follows a review meeting conducted by Home Minister Vijay Sharma on Wednesday, where he emphasized strict action against substance abuse and the rigorous enforcement of traffic regulations.
On Thursday, Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain expressed concern over the rising number of road accidents involving government employees.
