Furious at poor performance, teacher slaps, kicks students, watch
A video of a physical education teacher from a private school in Salem, Tamil Nadu, assaulting students has gone viral, sparking outrage. The incident occurred on Saturday, August 10, 2024, when Annamalai, the teacher at a private higher secondary school in Kolathur, was filmed attacking students after being displeased with their performance in a football match.
The video, shared widely by the Students’ Federation of India (SFI), shows Annamalai slapping, kicking, and pulling the hair of several students. In response to the video's circulation, the Sangagiri District Education Officer initiated an investigation, resulting in the teacher's suspension.
