Former Minister admitted to hospital, was flown to hospital, know more
Former Maharashtra minister and senior NCP leader Chhagan Bhujbal was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai on Thursday (September 26) after experiencing a sudden decline in his health. According to information from his office, Bhujbal was flown to Mumbai from Pune via a special flight due to symptoms of fever and a throat infection. His office assured that his condition is stable and urged the public not to believe in any rumors.
Bhujbal, a significant figure in Maharashtra politics, recently faced scrutiny after he requested the volume of the 'Hanuman Chalisa' being recited nearby be lowered during a speech in Nashik on September 14. During the event, he commented on the loud recitation, saying, "The sound is so loud, how will I give my speech?" and asked the police to address the situation.
The 76-year-old politician, who holds the portfolio of food, civil supplies, and consumer protection in the Maharashtra government, was initially in Pune for an event with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The event was canceled due to heavy rains and flooding at the venue.
Despite his hospitalization, Bhujbal's office reiterated that his health is stable and there is no cause for alarm.
