A tragic road accident occurred on National Highway 130 in Shravasti, Uttar Pradesh, on Saturday, November 30. A high-speed XUV car collided head-on with a tempo, resulting in a devastating crash that left five people dead and several others seriously injured.

The collision, which occurred near Ikona, was so severe that both vehicles crashed into a roadside ditch. Three individuals were killed instantly, while two more succumbed to their injuries at the hospital. The tempo was completely wrecked, and the front end of the XUV was severely damaged. Witnesses reported a chaotic scene following the crash, with locals rushing to the site to help the injured.

Police quickly arrived at the scene, rescuing the trapped victims from the wreckage and sending them to the hospital. The accident caused a massive traffic jam on the highway, which was cleared after police intervention. According to initial investigations, the crash appears to have been caused by the high speed of the vehicles. Authorities are also examining whether any technical faults in the vehicles may have contributed to the collision.

The bodies have been sent for post-mortem, and the families of the victims have been notified. The victims, including Rafiq (son of Idris), Nanke Yadav (45, son of Mangla Prasad), and Lallan Pandey (son of Subedar Pandey), have been identified. However, the identities of two others are still being verified. Among the nine passengers in the tempo, five lost their lives, and six others were seriously injured.
