A New Initiative for the Economic Empowerment of Mothers and Sisters

Raipur, November 30, 2024 – In a significant move to promote the economic empowerment of women, Finance Minister Shri OP Choudhary officially launched the 'Mahatari Shakti Loan Scheme' from his office residence. The event was also attended by Shri Vinod Arora, Chairman of the State Rural Bank.

Expressing his enthusiasm, Finance Minister Shri Choudhary remarked, "This scheme is a vital step toward empowering mothers and sisters, enabling them to achieve financial independence." Shri Arora, Chairman of the State Rural Bank, explained that under the Mahatari Vandan Scheme, women who have an account with the rural bank and receive funds under the scheme will be eligible for loans up to Rs. 25,000 without any formalities.

This loan will be provided to help them establish self-employment ventures. The Mahatari Shakti Loan Scheme, launched by the State Rural Bank, aims to empower women in rural areas by providing them with the necessary financial support to become self-reliant.

This initiative not only offers financial assistance but also helps women create a strong foundation for themselves, their families, and their communities through entrepreneurship and self-employment.
