Two Enforcement Directorate officials have been arrested on charges of accepting bribe of Rs 15 lakhs. The two ED officials arrested have been identified as Naval Kishore Meena, Babulal Meena.
As per the allegation, the two officers demanded Rs 15 lakhs for stalling a formal complaint into a chitfund case.
Among those arrested includes an ED officer posted in Manipur’s Imphal while another is an associate in Jaipur itself.
Congress has made a big issue out of this arrest. Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel has posted on X to highlight this news and claimed that this is why the ED officials too need to be checked just to be sure that they are not campaigning for a political party.
