Eight rurals pass away, villagers become fearful, seek divine blessings
A shocking case has emerged in the Mohla-Manpur district, where eight people have died in the village of Niche Kohda under the Ambagarh Chowki development block within just a month. The cause of these deaths remains a mystery. Disturbed by the series of fatalities, local residents held a meeting to discuss the potential reasons behind them, as they are themselves unaware of the actual cause. There are growing concerns that these deaths might be linked to some supernatural phenomenon. Consequently, villagers are investigating both health-related causes and the possibility of divine retribution.
On the other hand, Dr. Mandavi, the district's Chief Medical Officer, confirmed these deaths while stating that the Regional BMO has been dispatched to the village to gather more information. Some of the deceased had sought treatment from local doctors before passing away. Reports indicate that the first death was that of an elderly individual, followed by seven more within a span of 15 to 20 days. Among the deceased are two college friends, along with other young people, middle-aged individuals, and the elderly.
Residents noted that the victims experienced symptoms like nosebleeds, vomiting blood, and high fever, with several dying overnight while receiving treatment in various hospitals. During the community meeting, the village head, the father of one of the deceased college students, and other locals shared information regarding the puzzling circumstances surrounding these deaths.
District Collector S. Jayvardhan has taken these deaths seriously as well. On Tuesday night, he, along with the SP and other senior officials, visited Niche Kohda village to assess the situation and met with residents and the families of the deceased to investigate the underlying causes.
