Amid top leaders of the different political parties visiting poll bound Chhattisgarh to campaign and woo voters, the Enforcement Directorate stole the limelight with the raid that they carried out in Bhilai’s Housing Board area unraveling as much as Rs 5 crores in cash.
The ED team, on Thursday evening, raided the house of one Aseem Dutta alias Bappa at block 15 of the Housing Board to recover the cash suspected to be stashed for use in election.
The ED officials were raiding in their ongoing investigations on the Mahadev betting app. It is learnt that at the time, there was no one in the apartment when the raid happened.
Sources claim that raids have been carried out in multiple cities including Raigarh and Raipur.
