Gorakhpur News: During the closing ceremony of the Gorakhpur Mahotsav 2025, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took a light-hearted dig at the local BJP MP, Ravi Kishan.

While addressing the gathering, CM Yogi urged the audience to participate in the cultural event and not get too caught up in materialism, humorously referencing Ravi Kishan.

The Chief Minister, in his usual jovial style, said, "Everyone should be a part of this cultural program and not fall into excessive attachment to worldly desires, like our MP Ravi Kishan." As he spoke, CM Yogi smiled, and the crowd erupted into laughter.

Even Ravi Kishan, who was present at the event, couldn't help but join in the laughter. CM Yogi was congratulating the organizers of the Gorakhpur Mahotsav and highlighting the benefits of the event when he turned his attention to the local MP.

He continued, "As you all must have heard, Ravi Kishan was talking about land prices here. He bought land for 20 lakhs, and now he claims it's worth 20 crores. He keeps mentioning the rising land prices here to increase the value of his property. But if you ever plan to buy land here, make sure you don’t pay more than 20 lakhs."

This wasn’t the first time CM Yogi had teased Ravi Kishan in a public setting. The Chief Minister has often used a playful tone when interacting with the actor-turned-politician, with their lighthearted banter frequently sparking conversations and garnering attention on social media.

Apart from this, CM Yogi also spoke about the ongoing Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, highlighting the spiritual significance of the event. He invited people from across the country and abroad to experience India's rich spiritual heritage and culture.

“The Mahakumbh, spread across 10,000 acres, is not just a religious event but a unique opportunity to witness India’s spiritual legacy through the saints. People from all corners of the world should visit," he said. He also encouraged the people of Gorakhpur to visit the Mahakumbh, assuring that there were ample travel options available.

In his speech, CM Yogi also appealed to the people to offer Khichdi to Baba Gorakhnath on Makar Sankranti and to explore the cultural and spiritual significance of the Mahakumbh. In a moment of recognition, the Chief Minister honored five distinguished individuals with the prestigious "Gorakhpur Ratna" award at the main stage of the festival.
