Displeased with ticket distribution, a second MLA quits BJP

BJP faces a setback in Haryana with Ratia MLA Laxman Napa leaving the party, joining Shamser Gill, who resigned in protest over ticket allocation issues for the Uklana constituency. The move raises concerns about party leadership and election strategies.

The BJP has faced another setback in Haryana as Laxman Napa, the MLA from Ratia, has left the party. Napa's resignation comes shortly after senior BJP leader Shamser Gill also stepped down from his primary membership and all party positions. Gill had resigned in protest against what he perceived as an incorrect allocation of the party ticket for the Uklana assembly constituency.

Political activity is intensifying ahead of the Haryana assembly elections. Napa, who recently received the party's ticket for Ratia, has reportedly left the BJP due to dissatisfaction with not being granted a ticket. The BJP has chosen Sunita Duggal for the Ratia seat this time.

Gill, who resigned earlier, criticized the party for its decision regarding the Uklana ticket, arguing that it would cause significant damage not only to the Uklana constituency but to the entire state of Haryana. He stated that the BJP no longer adheres to the principles of its former leader, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, and deemed the ticket allocation decision as entirely unfair, raising serious concerns about the party leadership.
