In a dramatic turn of events in Karnataka's Kalaburagi, a customer set fire to an Ola electric scooter showroom following a dispute over his faulty vehicle. Mohammad Nadeem, 26, became enraged after experiencing persistent technical issues with his newly purchased e-scooter, which he bought a month ago for Rs 1.4 lakh.

According to police reports, Nadeem, who is a mechanic by trade, had been facing battery and sound system problems with the scooter just days after purchase. Despite multiple visits to the showroom for repairs, he felt his concerns were not adequately addressed. On Tuesday, Nadeem's frustration escalated when he had a heated argument with the showroom staff. He responded by pouring petrol on the premises and igniting it, leading to significant damage.

The fire destroyed the entire showroom, including six vehicles and computer systems, with an estimated loss of Rs 8.5 lakh. Police have arrested Nadeem and registered a case against him. Initial investigations confirmed that the fire was indeed caused by Nadeem's actions, dispelling earlier suspicions of an electrical short circuit. No casualties were reported, and fire safety officials successfully extinguished the blaze. The showroom was closed at the time of the incident.
