After the blockbuster success of Stree 2, producer Dinesh Vijan and director Amar Kaushik are teaming up once again for the upcoming mythological film Mahavatar, which will feature Vicky Kaushal in the powerful role of Chiranjeevi Parashurama. The film, produced by Vijan's Maddock Films and written by Niren Bhatt, is set to bring the story of Parashurama, the "eternal warrior of dharma," to life on the big screen with a release date scheduled for Christmas 2026.

In the first-look posters revealed on social media, Vicky Kaushal appears transformed, sporting a rugged beard, long hair, and traditional attire, embodying the fierce persona of Parashurama. Kaushal's costume includes a rust-colored dhoti, Rudraksha beads on his wrists, and a weapon—traditional elements that resonate with the character's mythological roots.

In his announcement post, Kaushal expressed excitement about the project, saying, “Dinesh Vijan brings to life the story of the eternal warrior of dharma! Vicky Kaushal stars as Chiranjeevi Parashurama in Mahavatar, directed by Amar Kaushik. Coming to cinemas - Christmas 2026!”

Mahavatar marks Kaushal’s third collaboration with Vijan, following Zara Hatke Zara Bachke and the soon-to-be-released Chhaava. Fans of Indian cinema are already buzzing with anticipation for this mythological epic, which promises an action-packed journey through the legendary tales of Parashurama.
